All Wood floors installed 800 ft. of hardwood floor in my home this week and I was very pleased with the entire experience and the final quality. Prior to selecting All Wood Floors I emailed several contractors with pictures and drawings of the work. All Wood floors replied with a well written detailed response that gave me confidence in their work. Other contractors put little effort into their response. We corresponded for a few weeks while we figured out a strategy for my stairs (which had some complications). I very much appreciated the effort put into the emails since I was not yet a customer. The only downside was All Wood Flooring seems to be very popular and the schedule is quite booked for two weeks, so you do have to wait. I got on the schedule a waited two weeks for installation. When the day came, the team arrived on time and worked quickly finishing the job in less time than expected. The job site at the end of the day was vacuumed and left organized. They use a special tool to cut the bottom of the baseboards for the wood since I did not want to install quarter rounds. The final result is very good with a tight fit between the baseboard and wood floor.
Purchased Morning Star Bamboo Flooring from Lumber Liquidators, and the product was originally installed by one person from All Wood Flooring. Were told it was an acceptable product for our house. About 6 months after install, we starting experiencing board separation in our foyer and by the staircase to the second floor. We had to have the people from Lumber Liquidators come out and inspect. We were told that it was an 'installation' issue. To resolve the problem, they had the installer, from All Wood Flooring (the original installers), come out and essentially re-install the floor back down in those two areas. By the next winter, approximately 9 months after the 're-installation,' we started experiencing additional separation issues between the boards now in the living room, at the juncture of the dining and living room, as well as by the door to the back deck. We re-contacted the people at Lumber Liquidators and the people at All Wood Flooring and were told that we now have to have a national flooring inspector come out to the house, of which there are 5 in the state of Maryland. If that person deemed it was an issue with installation, their cost, which is between $750.00 and $1500.00 to do the inspection, would be covered. If it was an issue with the product in the house, we would eat the cost of the inspection and be left without coverage. We had a separate hardwood installer come out to the house last week and take a look at what was going on. Rather than an installation issue, he thought the problem was due to the boards shrinking in all 4 directions rather than just along the long axis. He also mentioned that the bamboo product of Morning Star is notorious for this issue. He essentially said that this product should not have been used in our house to begin with. Consumers need to be aware of the products being pushed by Lumber Liquidators and the quality of installation from All Wood Flooring here in Maryland. I will be filing a complaint against both companies with the BBB. This is unacceptable. I would gladly post pictures of the finished product if Google review allowed it. People need to see. I will be posting pictures to Consumer Affairs.
We have had the same issues as most others. The work was done VERY poorly. We actually had a Regional Manager come out. He took pictures and agreed that the work was not done properly. He stated he would come and finish the job (oh yes, the install was never completed) and then we have not heard from him. It should be pointed out that this company does not always do the install, they sub them out to other companies. This was never made known to us when we purchased the flooring from Lumber Liquidators. The gentlemen who actually came to install our flooring stated this was their first job with All Wood Flooring. If you do purchase wood from Lumber Liquidators save yourself the hassle. A 10% restocking fee is nothing compared to all the problems you will encounter if you use All Wood Flooring.
Enjoyed the experience. Had simple job and it went really well, so well, we decided to do our rivah house of over 1200 sq ft. All Wood worked with us on choices and even suggested ways to save money and afford more. Having an employee at Lumber Liquidators is real perk. David I. was great.
Terrible!!! Terrible!!! Terrible!!! I have a 650sq ft. installation of bamboo hardwood that began in December of 2012 that is not completed as of May 2013. Numerous missed visits by sales representatives and installers. Installers have arrived and completed no work because they cannot repair the installation. Installers have arrived and pleaded with management that they cannot repair the installation and advise management that the installation was completed improperly and needs to be replaced. Management has visited my home and not been truthful about the installation and made accusations that were found to be absolutely incorrect. Sales representative arrives with installers to supervise work and I am later told by the installer that the sales rep was detained by police for driving on a suspended license as they left my home to purchase supplies from a big box home repair store. Installers have shown up with minors (as helpers) who are not employed by the company and are putting me at a legal liability by working in my home. Five months in, and the work is not complete. If you don't believe me, read the other reviews. This was a huge mistake on my part, and a lesson learned.
We would be honored! Please reach out and expect to be treated like the ROCKSTAR that you are! 🙂
