My husband and I have both had positive experiences at Frederick Health Hospital, in 2018 and 2021. All levels of staff were totally professional and outstanding. We were amazed at the consistent high-quality care. We both started out in the emergency room for our experiences (one leading to surgery) and we've had successful outcomes each time, due in no small part to the excellent surgeons, doctors and nursing staff. We have total respect for all of the hard-working nurses doing their best every day, including extra challenging times. The hospital rooms were modern and soothing with calming colors and artwork, all conducive to healing. We highly recommend Frederick Health Hospital.
My experience at the emergency room was quite good. I came in with extreme pain from sciatica and I deeply appreciate the kindness and understanding of personnel there. I came in at about 6:45 am and was seen within a short amount of time. Doctor was quite nice, kind, and understanding and made the diagnosis with efficiency; nurses, and other personnel there were also quite good. I returned home. Within a few hours the pain increased substantially and I called back to the emergency room and was referred to the pharmacy. The gentleman there went the extra steps to confer with available medical staff and called me back with some adjustments to my medication which I am happy to say that is working quite well. I deeply appreciate his extra steps to help me as I know they are quite busy at this time. I am happy with my total experience there.
Ever since I visited the ER more than a week or so ago, I have been receiving text alerts from different medical businesses saying I owe hundreds of dollars to them, and when I called the ER, today to complain, I get hung up on by said dept for "my loud tone of voice", when I was only expressing frustration at these suspicious text alerts. No one comes to the ER expecting to be treated like that, after the fact. Nor do we expect to pay more than we should for services rendered. Compliants need to be handled professionally, and in a courteous manner, not by staff being rude with the 'finger happy' hang up button!!!
I don't write reviews, but I had to for this one. This is absolutely the worst hospital I have ever been to, and it's really not even close. I was referred here by an urgent care for a serious issue, and waited for over 5 hours before walking out of the ER in frustration without ever being seen. This was on a Wednesday from 11am to 4:30pm. It wasn't any busier than any other ER I've been in, in fact it was less filled than most. I went mid-week and mid-day, the absolute least busy time at hospitals. I was told by staff that this 5 hour wait time is common there. They were unapologetic and seemed to think this was an acceptable wait time. Look at all the reviews and you'll see if you go here, you're going to wait 4-5 hours or more. Anyone in charge of management at Frederick Hospital, do better. Your unit is an absolute mismanaged disaster, and you should be ashamed making sick people wait 5 hours just to be seen.
Has been waiting forever with pain. What’s going on. Hospital has been keep expending but take more then 2 hours to take in after a sign up at front desk. And take another 5 hour to treat. Are they keeping purposely keeping in the emergency room to make Money. Really are we in a developed country. Horrible experience every time.
