Got there at 6:35 am and was tested by 7:15 (since it opens at 7). The line moved pretty quickly. Just got my results at 11:41 am, but I heard it depends on how many people get tested that day so it may take longer for some people's results. The person explained the process of swabbing well and it wasn't painful, just uncomfortable and made my eyes water, but that's understandable. Overall, a good experience. The signage helped me find my way there and the people on the phone when registering were helpful as well.
The process took a long time, we were in line for about 3 hrs. They told us we would get our results in 2-3 days, a family member that got it done that same day got the results 24 hr later which was great but we haven’t gotten our results and it’s been 4 days. Can’t get a hold of anyone, have left several messages and when I got a hold of someone they asked me to call back and were no help. I would not recommend this place if you need fast results. I have been to other testing sites and have gotten results 24 hrs later.
Attended the International Overdose Awareness Day Vigil. It's is a very touching, loving, raw look at what happens to those we love that struggle with Substance Abuse Disorder. Please take a moment to stop by, look
I've had a Covid test done before. And at this location with zero issues. Sure the wait can be long but that's expected. However, today was an absolutely miserable experience. The wait wasn't long but the women who administered my Covid test did not care that I was in actual pain. Not discomfort, but searing pain. I asked her to stop and told her it was painful (it's never been painful before) through tears and she merely continued to count. Upon removal of the swab her and I both noticed the swab was covered in blood and my nose was bleeding. Her only words were "Sorry, had to get past your septum. You can pull out now." I left in tears and for the 30 min ride home my nose continued to bleed.
It opens at 7am so get in line at 6am otherwise it will be 3+ hour wait. Definitely need more staff/volunteers for extended test hours and more than one lane for testing. There are portable toilets if needed. Before joining other vehicles waiting, there was a guy wearing shorts and tshirt in parking lot not wearing any staff/volunteer shirt or vest with no signage that became very angry when driving past him because he needed to say "expect 3 hour wait and have photo ID and insurance card ready". No appointment required at this drive thru test center and staff insist on scanning/taking photo of drivers license rather than using photo ID which is on the signage and website as of 9/17/21. As you get closer to testing tent, a person gives you a number to call but the individual on the phone was not sure what information to ask. I expected a smoother and faster process from Frederick Health especially since they've been testing for a while at this location. The guy that actually did the test was awesome and explained exactly what he would do before the swab.
We would be honored! Please reach out and expect to be treated like the ROCKSTAR that you are! 🙂
