i wish chevy chase was closer because i really love the food here. we ordered the last lobster they had and the chef would not serve it due to the quality not meeting his standards—integrity at its finest! everything tastes so fresh and clean. one of my favorites for sure! Definitely recommend.
Great experience. We had the seaweed salad and some sushi rolls. They made then very quickly and were absolutely delicious. They also follow very strict covid protocols but still manage to make you feel welcomed and appreciated. We can't wait to go back.
Has always been good, but for some reason we haven't been since Covid. It was perfect as takeaway. Fresh and delicious. And beautifully presented!
Some of, if not the best sushi I've had in the DMV area. It rivals sushi I've had in downtown DC at a restaurant with accolades and stars from a certain food review company. A fresh and constantly rotating selection of fish, where each piece has been prepared and accompanied with great care. Good sushi requires fresh fish, but excellent sushi requires a chef that knows what to do with it. Sushiko nails this. Little details like not compressing the rice for nigiri, adding the slightest bit of wasabi, using a bit of sauce or garnish to particular fish, are all present and specific to each piece. And the portions (and proportions of fish) are generous too! I've had a few omakase spreads, a few individual nigiri chosen by myself (the Hokkaido uni that sometimes makes it on the menu is my favorite), appetizers such as the karaage fried chicken (that I hope comes back one day), and a few happy hour hand rolls back when they were still doing that. I've been here multiple times in the past, and though it's been a little while I'd like to let people know they should give this place a try. It is a gem of a restaurant, with attention to detail and flavor that you don't see very often.
Good food, fresh and tasty, good customer service.
We would be honored! Please reach out and expect to be treated like the ROCKSTAR that you are! 🙂
